Ó³»­´«Ã½ scientists continually make new biological discoveries that have the potential to create new and transformative medicines. More often than not, these discoveries require additional work to advance them to a point where industry is willing and able to move them forward. As the Ó³»­´«Ã½'s drug discovery platform, the Center for the Discovery of Therapeutics (CDoT) was created to facilitate this transition.

We are a team of professional scientists with many years of experience working in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Collectively, we have participated in multiple drug discovery campaigns that have advanced therapeutics to human clinical trials, and we are eager to use this experience to help researchers move their unique biological insights closer to becoming actual therapeutics.

Specifically, we leverage our unique technologies and capabilities, and those of the Ó³»­´«Ã½ as a whole, to:

• Validate new therapeutic hypotheses or approaches
• Develop assays, tools, and reagents that are necessary or can accelerate the launching of  a drug discovery project
• Create initial chemical matter, biologic, or tool that de-risks a therapeutic hypothesis in proof-of-concept experiments
• Scale therapeutic technologies that benefit the Ó³»­´«Ã½ and the greater drug discovery community
• Identify new therapeutic opportunities and help secure funding to advance ideas and technologies that benefit the Ó³»­´«Ã½ community

We form deep scientific collaborations with PIs and their teams to ensure their biology drives the drug discovery process. By collaborating with CDoT, researchers and their trainees become integral members of the team, which enriches our scientific community and dramatically increases the probability of successfully advancing an idea into a new therapeutic that can benefit patients.
