Kedrick Perry is chief community officer at the Ó³»­´«Ã½ of MIT and Harvard. He is committed to providing operational leadership and strategic planning that promotes community and STEM engagement at the Ó³»­´«Ã½. Perry brings to the role experience creating cross-functional teams, using large data sets, and recruiting and retaining top talent to drive growth and innovation.

Perry served as a vice president at Loyola University New Orleans, a senior leader at the National Science Foundation’s Center for Energy Efficient Electronics Science, and executive director of the Grand Challenges Scholars Program at the University of California, Berkeley. Previously, he was director of the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program at Suffolk University in Boston, where he prepared undergraduate students for graduate study. Prior to Suffolk University, he worked in the Graduate and Postdoctoral Outreach and Engagement office at the University of Virginia, where he was committed to the recruitment, retention, mentoring, and graduation of a highly talented graduate student population.

Perry received his doctorate in higher education from the University of Virginia, where he studied logic modeling and academic motivation. He also has a Master of Public Administration and a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from North Carolina State University and a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
