Patricia Kabitzke

Patricia Kabitzke serves as the senior director of strategy and scientific operations for the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Ó³»­´«Ã½, ensuring that efforts are strategically aligned with the needs and priorities of the Stanley Center and its mission. Kabitzke also serves as the senior advisor to the Ó³»­´«Ã½ Program in Brain Health.

Prior to joining the Ó³»­´«Ã½ in 2019, Kabitzke served as the associate director of scientific programs at Cohen Veterans Bioscience (CVB), a national nonprofit focused on diagnostic tests and personalized therapeutics for veterans and civilians with trauma-related and other brain disorders. She led all non-clinical programming, developing robust, reproducible, and translational model systems of post-traumatic stress disorder constructs. Prior to that, Kabitzke spent time at PsychoGenics, Inc., a contract research organization, leading projects developing novel phenotyping assays and screening therapeutics in multiple model systems of autism, in partnership with the Simons Foundation and other funders.

Kabitzke trained at Columbia University and earned a Ph.D in neuroscience. She has an M.B.A. from UMass Lowell.
