Tal Shnitzer, Ph.D.
Senior Machine Learning Scientist

Tal Shnitzer is a senior machine learning scientist in the ML4H team at the Ó³»´«Ã½. She develops machine learning algorithms for disease risk prediction and classification using various biomedical modalities, ranging from clinical measurements such as echocardiograms to wearable sensor data such as Fitbit recordings.
Shnitzer earned her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Technion, Israel, which focused on manifold learning and geometric techniques for multimodal and temporal data analysis. She also holds a B.Sc. in electrical engineering and a B.Sc. in biomedical engineering from the Technion in Israel. Before joining the Ó³»´«Ã½, Shnitzer was a postdoctoral associate at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) at MIT, working with Justin Solomon, where she designed methods that leverage the geometry of data to analyze complex datasets.
