Helen Karimi talks about how the ӳý Summer Scholars Program helped spark her interest in medicine

Helen Karimi is a first-year medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine and is a 2014 alum of the ӳý Summer Scholars Program (BSSP). She says the program helped her gain skills and confidence and to learn the importance of asking questions. 

“The BSSP program has changed my life in quite a few ways. I'm a medical student and I really believe that participating in this program helped to initiate that interest in medicine.”

BSSP invites highly motivated high school students with a keen interest in science to spend six weeks at ӳý under the mentorship of ӳý scientists to conduct original, cutting-edge research.
