The ability to deeply explore cellular phenotypes is a cornerstone capability within CDoT. Our team has a deep proficiency in high-content imaging (HCI) technologies, including powerful phenotypic screening capabilities. We excel at extracting rich, multi-parametric data to identify actionable biomarkers for patient stratification, to monitor target engagement, and to evaluate compound efficacy.
We offer a spectrum of sophisticated approaches, including:
Antibody-based phenotyping: Detailed phenotypic characterization of cells through the precise detection of specific target proteins using antibody-based immunofluorescence.
Cell Painting: A dye-based, unbiased approach to phenotypic profiling, utilizing a panel of cell-compatible dyes and automated image analysis to reveal and quantify thousands of cellular and organelle features, including size, shape, and texture.
Optical pooled screening (OPS): A powerful image-based screening technique that allows for the phenotypic characterization of individual cells within a pool. By combining biomarker analysis and/or Cell Painting with in situ sequencing of cell-specific barcodes, we can deconvolute complex phenotypic responses within heterogeneous cell populations.
Beyond our scientific expertise, we manage and operate a state-of-the-art HCI facility within CDoT. Equipped with two high-speed, automated, and fully integrated confocal high-content imagers, the facility is accessible to trained walk-up users under the guidance of our HCI specialists.
Our team empowers researchers with comprehensive high-content imaging services—encompassing high-throughput automated confocal microscopy for image acquisition and in-depth image analysis. We provide comprehensive support, from initial training to expert assistance with image data analysis, including:
